DahliaChristmas TreeCircle of FlowersQuilt & Colour |
This workshop includes techniques for using fusible thread - appliqué, Celtic and foils. The appliqué method is an alternative to other appliqué techniques and allows you to trapunto your design or remove the backing fabric to leave a softer feel to your project.
Fusible thread and Celtic designs will be available at the workshop. The photo shown below/left was made using fusible thread technique and was a charity quilt for Guide Dogs for the Blind. The quilt blocks are a Lynette Anderson pattern. |
Kaliedoscope Runner |
This technique involves quilting your design and then colouring with pencils before painting with binder.
Colouring pencils, binder, brushes and pre-sewn designs can be available for purchase at the workshop. Make as many kaleidoscope squares as required
to fit your table / wall / quilt. A template is used to make rotary cutting this project which can be provided on request. |
